Hi, my name is Aidan McCarthy and I'm a portrait and headshot photographer based in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.

After a ten year career as a videographer and photographer for major brands such as NBC, Marvel, and Disney, I decided to focus on the subjects I like to photograph the most, people. To me, there's no better feeling of accomplishment than capturing someone's personality and essence in a single frame.

My philosophy on headshots is to keep it simple. I like to let the subject tell the story with minimal distracting background elements. I put the focus on you, with character-driven poses and framing. Let's show casting directors exactly how you look in the roles you're trying to book.

I follow the same idea when it comes to editing and retouching; I want your final shots to look like you on your very best day, not an impossibly smooth, digital version of yourself that doesn't represent who you are in real life.
